Seashells…

Some days walking the beach we find all sort of seashells. This is my latest find! I gather them up in a pail, bring them home, rinse them off with diluted bleach water, then they dry and are used in craft projects.

At the northern most end of this barrier island (next to the jetty) is where I find them.

In all of our very busy lives one needs a hobby or two!

What’s your hobbies?

  1. This sounds wonderful! When my family and I visit my husband’s family on Rügen (an island found in northern Germany), I love collecting peculiar stones and shells, whenever we go for walks on the beach. Aside from cooking and baking, I love to crochet. Unfortunately, I don’t do it as often as I used to. Maybe when the kids are a bit older, I’ll go back to it. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

  2. We are in Florida vivisting family and we’ve collected shells from the beach also to make a craft. I was just going to clean them today and am glad I read this post so I can add a bit of bleach to water. I hope I’ll see your craft soon. I’ll be posting mine.

  3. I love collecting sea shells when I’m at the coast, as well as unusual rocks or pieces of driftwood. Too bad I’m not crafty! I just like looking at them. 🙂
